Item Description
This is the OLDEST specimen we have yet found in purchase of 100s of specimens from the Rock Currier collection, #111 from the early 1960s! It is a fantastic locality piece of rare Slovakian pyrargyrite, with sharp lustrous crystals to 1 cm, perched on a crest of matrix. Superb, in quality, for the locality. These metallic crystals are incredibly significant for the locale, which is why he owned it for 50 years. They are actually a dark red when strongly lit. Apparently, according to the internet: BANSKA STIAVNICA is one of the most beautiful old medieval towns in Europe!
