Pyrargyrite (New Find)

Sculptural, densely intergrown pyrargyrite crystals from a NEW FIND at famed Fresnillo. The crystals, to 3.2 cm, have brilliant silver-metallic luster. Most of the crystal faces are strikingly and unusually etched or have a secondary overgrowth, while other adjacent faces are smooth. Strange chemistry here. You can see flashes of ruby-silver color on broken faces under bright light. An attachment face has soft white clay. Very rich silver ore!! The piece has multiple display possibilities. 213 grams mass. A choice and large example from the find. One of the best pieces in the small lot we obtained.
