Item Description

The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is a showy and excellent example. Sharp, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, intergrown, modified pyrite cubes comprise the mounded sculptural specimen. The largest crystal is 4.5 cm This piece has some edgewear and is contacted, but remains a highly representative example of the speices and noted locale. The textbook form and intense luster are top notch. Classic Huanzala material with several excellent display views! Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
