Item Description

A beautiful classic Pyrite specimen from the famous Huanzala Mine featuring many sharp, bright, lustrous, soft metallic golden color, striated cubic crystal free of matrix. When you rotate the specimen in your hands, you'll see it's crystallized all the way around, with only a few TINY points of attachment, making it nearly a complete "floater". The highly reflective luster along with the superb crystallization makes it a very desirable and fine quality specimen of this historic material. It's important to note that despite the fact that Pyrite is one of most widespread sulfides on the planet, some of the finest crystallized examples of the species are found in the Peruvian Andes. The piece weighs 202.20 grams. Priced in the inventory at $750.
