Item Description

This is honestly the first specimen of Pyrite that I've seen from this particular locality. This lovely small cabinet display specimen is covered with good quality, sharp, metallic, golden color, slightly striated cubic crystals of Pyrite measuring up to 6 mm on a thin layer of golden Siderite on host rock matrix. Most of the crystals are undamaged, and the piece displays well from a few angles. If you collect Pyrites, sulfides or German minerals, don't miss out on this attractive old time specimen! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1663). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
