Item Description
Here we have a rarely seen matrix specimen of the attractive Pyrites from the Portland Quarry in Colorado. The piece hosts an oblong shaped group of sharp, sparkling Pyrite crystals, along with a smaller group on grey shale matrix. The main Pyrite group measures 2.7 cm. Specimens from this locality are hard to find on the market, let alone MATRIX pieces, so if you collect sulfides, minerals or Colorado or specifically Pyrite, don't let this one get away.
