Pyrite with Sphalerite

Item Description

A lovely display specimen of Pyrite featuring a good sized octahedron attractive stepped faces which are dotted with small black crystals of Sphalerite. The Pyrite crystal is rather sharp, with good luster in areas with that classic bronze-golden color. The elegant form of the piece make it a very nice Pyrite specimen from this classic Peruvian locality. The piece is incomplete on the bottom but it still displays very well, and truly stands out among countless other "boring" Pyrites I have seen from this area. Please note there is a small "rub" near the termination as well.
