Pyritized Brachiopod (Spirifer Sp.)

Item Description

A beautifully symmetrical, highly arching, lustrous pyritized spirifer brachiopod from the Devonian of Sylvania, Ohio. This specimen has excellent bi-lateral symmetry and comes from a quarry west of Toledo. This example is lightly compressed on one side, but remains intact. A showy and highly representative fossil of the species and locale.
