Item Description

A good quality example of the manganese oxide, Pyrolusite from near Las Cruces, New Mexico. This cabinet sized piece hosts attractive brilliant, metallic, dark grey-black colored prismatic crystals, showing a bit of chatoyancy when rotated in the light, sitting on a thin layer of matrix. The crystals measure to about 7 mm. A showy display specimen of this uncommon material.
