Fine specimen of Pyrolusite from the Montreal Mine in Wisconsin, heart of the Iron District that powers a good part of the US Industrial Revolution with iron ore fro mthis unique and rich geological occurence. The Pyrolusite blades are lustrous and exceptionally sharp, and they are so numerous that this piece looks like it is covered by Pyrolusite flowers. They are SHARP and lustrous, execptional for locale and species. Formerly in the collections of E. G. Tribbey and Peter Gillis, this a a fine miniature, and high-quality for the Montreal Mine.
