Item Description
Appealing textural forest of thin acicular sprays and individual crystals of Pyromorphite on a Quartz matrix, unusually showing two colors - both a classic mustard yellow-green on one side and then a neat orangey-color on the other side. The crystals up to 1.3 cm long and as stated, the crystals show off a color range from olive green to a pumpkin color running down the side. The piece is in great condition with a sawn base for a self standing display. The specimen has a wonderful texture and interesting visual form exhibiting vertical relief and a three dimensional look. A classic example from the famous Les Farges locality. Ex. Paul Zerfass Collection (#144). Probably from the 1960s-1970s finds.
