Item Description

An EXCELLENT, CLASSIC, OLD-TIME, light brown pyromorphite specimen from the famous Friedrichssegen Mine of Germany. Two generations of lustrous, "wet-look" pyromorphite comprise this very showy, 3-dimensional, two-sided piece. Columnar prisms are capped by cauliflower-like or botryoidal pyromorphite forming club-shaped crystal clusters. The overall piece is in excellent condition. You barely notice, that there are only three broken crystals scattered about. This very famous mine closed in 1913, so this fine piece is probably over 100 years old! Ex John Ydren Collection. Valued at $300-400.
