Item Description

An outstanding pseudomorph combination thumbnail from the 1973 excavation at this famous small Australian prospect. Yellow pyromorphite has replaced a striking, 1.2 cm, tabular, reticulated "snowflake" cerussite crystal. The pseudo is dramatically set on the botryoidal malachite matrix, that hosts more pseudo sections and unaltered cerussite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7123 and acquired from the Cisneros' in February, 1974. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). RARE quality pyromorphite after cerussite from here.
