Lustrous, pretty grass-green, pyromorphite spindles in striking arborescent sprays solidly comprise this sculptural and aesthetic specimen from the famous Les Farges Mine and the Chester Lamanski Collection. Every turn presents a strikingly different perspective to this fine small cabinet of this varietal. And the piece is essentially pristine, for such dense coverage. CLASSIC material from this famous mine, that closed in 1981. The December, 2009 issue of the French periodical, Le Regne Mineral, is devoted entirely to this noted locale and is filled with photgraphs of fabulous Les Farges pyromorphites...This would fit right in! A must for any pyromorphite collector! It is also hefty lead ore at 247 grams mass, and has weight in your hand. Ex Chester Lemanski Collection. We just acquired his large collection.
