Item Description

Classic pyromorphite from renowned Broken Hill. Juicy, translucent, brown prisms, to about 2.0 cm, form a sculptural and aesthetic, 360-degree arborescent small cabinet. The bit of microcrystalline quartz or calcite on the back side is a nice accent. The pristine termination and side spray are noteworthy features to this fine example. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only a few gently bruised crystals noted, which is certainly only a modest detraction to this very showy and rich classic from the Kay Robertson Collection # 3343. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
