Item Description

A lovely thumbnail of this famous material from the Roughton Gill Mine in England, one of the great historic European localities for Pyromorphite. This piece features attractive highly vitreous, rich yellow-green colored hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite measuring up to 9 mm, intergrown to form a showy display piece. Good thumbnails of this material are seldom available, so if you're a thumbnail collector or a fan of secondary ore minerals, or even old English classics, this is a good representative piece of this now seldom seen material.
From the collection of Colin Manlove.
