China is among the most, if not THE most productive country in the world for fine quality crystallized specimens of new material over the last 20+ years. The finest contemporary Pyromorphites on the market right now are the superb green specimens from the Daoping Mine. We have been told that the section of the mine where these pieces were found is closed and / or mined out and we may never see these superb Pyromorphites again. This specimen is filled with fantastic, very sharp, highly lustrous, attractive green color, hexagonal crystals measuring up to 1.2 cm long aesthetically flaring off matrix. Some of the crystals show classic skeletal / "hoppered" faces, while other crystals are complete prisms with no skeletal growth. A very good display specimen of this classic material.
