Item Description

Three generations of juicy, translucent pyromorphite spindles richly and attractively cover this colorful and sculptural two-sided miniature rib on oxide-coated barite matrix. Some of the spindles are desirable apple-green, some are apple-green and honey-brown and one patch has only honey-brown crystals. The famed Les Farges Mine closed in 1981 and is famed for pyromorphite color and crystal form diversity. One of the world's great localities for pyromorphite. A fine miniature, that displays well without aid. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 1501 and collected by him.
