Pyromorphite on Quartz

Item Description

Luscious, juicy, radiating sprays of pretty apple-green, pyromorphite prisms to 9 mm are festooned on all sides of the sculptural quartz matrix on this striking and aesthetic piece from recent finds at the Daoping Mine. The crowning glory is the 1.5 cm quartz crystal "guard tower" at the peak of the "mountain". A bit of periphery wear and a few broken crystals are noted, but certainly nothing to detraction. The Daoping Mine has produced an amazing variety of pyromorphite in the last 10 years and this is a fine example.
