Item Description

Gemmy tufts of acicular, grass-green pyromorphite crystals coat an earlier generation of hexagonal, lustrous, brown pyromorphite prisms on this excellent and very showy specimen from the famous Les Farges Mine and John Schneider Pyromorphite Collection. The apple-green needles look like a cactus! The broken, brown pyromorphite prism on the center-left and another on the viewable front, well hidden under apple-green pyromorphite, are a very minimal detraction to this fine specimen. Once more, this famed locale shows off the myriad forms of this mineral. Les Farges closed in 1981.
