A superb quality group of sharp, lustrous, brassy metallic pseudo-hexagonal Pyrrhotite with minor associated Pyrite from Dalnegorsk. The piece is complete on the front and back, and the only contacted area is at the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. These are some of the finest examples of Pyrrhotite in the world, and they seem to be dwindling on market. This one is better than most because the crystals are so sharp and distinct, and it's such a wonderful full-sized thumbnail. They deserve more attention from collectors for their quality, but the numerous specimens on the market diminished their initial value. Now that they're drying up, they are more than likely going to increase in value. From the collection of Shields Flynn with a 3x5 index card label from the collection of Ernie Schlichter. I would put a retail price of about $900 on this one.
