Item Description

Santa Eulalia pyrrhotite specimens from the famous 1960s and 70s finds are among the world's finest, comparable to those from Dal'negorsk. This is an impressive and sculptural large combination specimen with classic bronze-brown, pseudohexagonal, horizontally striated prisms to 4.0 x 3.0 cm. The crystals have dramatic and typically lustrous pinacoid faces. Microcrystalline marcasite and calcite richly covers the back side and the underlying matrix is sphalerite. From an East Coast collection.
