Item Description

A cute "nest" of splendent, sharp sphalerite crystals accented with quartz crystal sprays and tiny siderite crystals is very aesthetically set atop intergrown sculptural stacked clusters of bronzy, pseudo-hexagonal pyrrhotite plates on this very showy and classic combination from this famous old locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2620 and probably dates to the early 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
