Item Description
A dramatic and elongated crystal sits in the middle of this beautiful cabinet sized cluster with a so-called "penetrator" angling up and out, and a large DT crystal (doubly terminated) in the middle as centerpiece (10 inches, about 22 cm). From the WW2 Tunnel Area, Garfield Lewis Claim, Fisher Mountain, Montgomery County. It looks excellent from the display face, and is nearly pristine - the large crystal in middle has some discontinuity to the right side, however. This is not modern damage, but an old wound or contact in the pocket, that was then healed over and actually has small crystal faces covering an old conchoidal break in that edge (so it is technically complete). The small crystal in the middle has a nice rainbow effect, with minute oil inclusions giving it iridescent color in the right light.
