Sometimes, simplicity is its own virtue in a specimen and this is just a really sharp, clean, crisp, clear quartz crystal cluster from a surprising location - somewhere in the Atlas Mountains, according to the catalog. The specimen is complete all around with just a few contacts and a few tiny dings, and stands so dramatically. I wish we had a more exact locality, but Erika Pohl had a group of these in the collection and our guess is she simply bought the whole pocket, so nobody saw them to report on. She loved Morocco, and loved quartz - and this was likely , as she did it multiple times with new finds from her favorite locations.
