From the Swiss collection of Brent Lockhart, built over decades with help sourcing from major dealers in the USA and Europe, this is a somewhat unusual and subtle quartz specimen. It shows an unusual shape and style for Swiss quartz that is sometimes seen from this location, Crapteig in Thusis. They are more skinny and elongated than most Swiss quartz. A slight inclusion of chlorite within gives the largest upright crystal a clear phantom, very visible in person although hard for the camera to focus on here. Complete all around! Sourced from Siber & Siber to Brent in 2016, for $750 at the time - which sure seems reasonable for how unusual such an item must be. The provenance of Siber to Brent is attested to on his label, included. A custom lucite base ($200 or so value) is also included.
