Item Description
Three types of hematite are included in this striking and unique, polished quartz ball from Brazil: a stunning, 3.3 cm, hematite needle impales two, tiny hematite plates; flakes of pretty, translucent, rose-red hematite; and intergrown and isolated, blocky, sharp, highly lustrous, metallic, hematite crystals. The isolated crystal is exposed on the ball face. What a totally unusual and very showy quartz specimen included with what are called hematite "roses". Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
