Here we have a wonderful old classic Quartz specimen from Mt. Ida featuring a group of colorless, WATER-CLEAR, razor-sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals, the largest of which measures 4.8 cm. For many decades, several localities in multiple counties in Arkansas have produced of some of the finest quality Quartz specimens in the world. The amazing size, clarity and superior crystal form seen in these specimens puts them in a high echelon, only comparable to few other localities worldwide. The crystals on this are in good condition, though a few small imperfections can be seen, but the termination of the main crystal is undamaged. A superb and showy display specimen of this classic and top-notch material from Arkansas. The specimen was mined in the 1970s.
From the collection of legendary Colorado miner, Dave Bergman. Dave is now retired, but mined all over Colorado and was most famously the former the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s.
