Sharp, glassy, water-clear to translucent quartz points, to 2.0 cm, are aesthetically and richly set on the thin matrix crust of curtain-like sprays of tiny elongated olive-green clinozoisite crystals on this very showy and excellent combination plate from the Sanabria Collection. This well-known Spanish road metal quarry mines alkaline subvolcanic dolerite. Essentially pristine, with only one very gently bruised quartz crystal tip. Clinozoisite is one of the primary species from here. Choice combination material from the locale.
