Quartz ("Herkimer Diamond")

These are some of the most well-known Quartz specimens in the world. This is a very attractive matrix specimen consisting of several single WATER-CLEAR, sharp, highly lustrous, bipyramidal, doubly-terminated "stubby" crystals forming a beautiful display specimen. The piece is virtually a "floater" and only has one tiny poinit of attachment on the back of the piece, otherwise crystallized all the way around. There are also some small black inclusions of the hydrocarbon Pyrobitumen make for a nice touch.
