Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of Quartz from the famous Emilio Mine (best known for its Fluorites) in Spain. These pieces are somewhat similar to the classic specimens from Berbes, but have their own distinctive appearance. This small cabinet features a group of very sharp, well-formed, highly lustrous, colorless Quartz crystals with a pronounced pyramidal habit sitting on very minor attached matrix. A bit of small black hydrocarbons can be seen included within the Quartz crystals for a nice touch. Large sections of the specimen are WATER CLEAR, but it's rather difficult to show in the photos. This particular specimen was mined in July of 2005. Priced in the inventory at $1,500. From the collection of Raul Orellana.
