Item Description

When it comes to Alpine localities, Quartz is probably the most abundant and well known species found. This specimen is a beatiful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy crystal group of colorless Quartz with notable stepped faces and a few distinct scepters along the side of the main crystal. Portions of the scepter crystals are nearly water-clear, and the overall quality of the piece is very good for the locality. A good Quartz specimen from the Austrian Alps which would make a nice addition to any Quartz suite. The piece is from the Alpine collection of Brian Kosnar and originated from the collection of Prof. Johann Zenz in Austria. According to Zenz's label, this specimen was collected in 1972.
