Item Description
WOW. The video speaks for itself. This is simply an elegant quartz specimen with such fine detail and structure, that it is mesmerizing. NORMALLY, such specimens are red and opaque or have a coated look. This is a very rare style of lustrous exterior with a highly visible red phantom inside. The red is due to hematite inclusions, which seldom forms in such discrete phantoms here. It is a little jewel of a quartz, as simple as that, and we all valued it highly among even Dr. Pohl's remarkable suite of perhaps 500 African quartz specimens, many larger. It somehow leaps out to the eye.
