Item Description

The well-known Amethyst crystals from the Piedra Parada (colloquially referred to as Las Vigas) area of Mexico have long been considered among the world’s finest examples of this purple variety of Quartz. Typically the crystals are simple hexagonal prisms, but every once in a while you'll see a SCEPTER habit crystal, like this piece. This specimen is a very sharp, lustrous, fairly gemmy, purple and colorless crystal with a well-defined scepter habit on the termination. A beautiful and elegant specimen, that looks better in person.
