Quartz var: Smoky (''phantom'' crystal) (polished)

Item Description

A beautiful robust Smoky Quartz crystal showing a defined internal "phantom" composed of what are likely Amphibole and / or clay minerals, with a bit of iron oxides. The crystal is so gemmy that you can clearly see the phantom floating inside, but please note that a few of the faces are polished in order to better see inside. Typically a polished specimen wouldn't be as desirable, but in this particular instance it's quite acceptable, as it's often the case with these specific crystals. Beautiful, showy and certainly desirable for any fan of Quartz or interesting crystal styles.
