Item Description

A classic old-time specimen of the famous Cleator Moor material featuring several smoky colored, very sharp, highly lustrous, bi-pyramidal crystals of Quartz measuring up to 1.6 cm associated with silvery bladed Hematite on the side and "bubbly" reddish-grey Hematite ("Kidney Ore") underneath. The piece is in good condition, with only roughness existing around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6062). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
