Item Description

An impressive radiating stellate spray of two generations of quartz crystals aesthetically attached to matrix on this fine large combination from the famous mines at Santa Eulalia. The four larger iron oxide-tinted crystals, to 5.0 cm, dramatically dominate the piece amidst the multitude of smaller, mostly colorless quartz points. The attached matrix includes sphalerite with tiny golden pyrrhotite crystals. Numerous small sprays of dogtooth calcite crystals are a fine accessory and contrast. Santa Eulalia has produced a wide variety of quartz habits and forms and this is an excellent 360-degree example of this varietal with accessories. Valued by the former dealer at $750.
