Item Description

Native gold is desseminated throughout the ores at Bisbee, but seldom in visible amounts. Gold was of significant economic importance during the 1900s, when refining techniques improved. This is a rare example of a 2 mm cluster of bright gold flakes with nearby single gold flakes in a matrix of sparkly hematite crystals and iron oxides and/or cuprite. VERY rare on the market and seldom available, as well as hard to value. Ex Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection.
