Item Description

A rare and stunning "flower" of green, uvite tourmaline "petals" from Mogok and the Bill Larson Collection. Flip the piece over, and you have a glassy, highly lustrous, deep green, single uvite crystal! These strange uvites were found around 1997 in one pocket and were shown to have the green color induced by vanadium, instead of by more common coloring chromophores in tourmalines. Very unusual, very rare and aesthetic! I have seen none for sale recently. This is from the Burma collection of "Burma Bill" Larson, to me by exchange. When they came out, such pieces would sell for $500-1000
