Item Description

Rauenthalite is a very rare hydrated calcium arsenate and this very rich and excellent specimen is from the Type Locality in the Rauenthal, a small valley near Ste Marie-aux-Mines. Radial tufts of acicular crystals cover nearly every side of this showy and very fine rarity. Ex Paris School of Mines and John White Collection of Seattle. Acquired in 1976, according to his label.
