Item Description

A 7 mm red beryl crystal is aesthetically set on rhyolite matrix on this showy and exellent specimen. The textbook hexagonal crystal has high luster and gorgeous raspberry-red to violet-red color. Portions of the crystal are gemmy and a trivial bit of the crysal has embedded rhyolite, including the termination (all on the backside of the crystal). A very highly representative small cabinet matrix specimen of the rarest of beryl species. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet.
