Item Description
Tiny, lustrous, frosted pastel-pink rhodochrosite rhombohedrons are festooned on the sculptural small cabinet matrix plate on this rich and very showy specimen from the famous and ancient Greek polymetallic sulfide and porphyry copper deposits, known since the time of Alexander the Great (MINDAT). Rhodochrosite is a signature species from this well-known locale; and this is an excellent example from the Dr. Vasco Trancoso collection.
