An attractive miniature specimen consisting of beautiful light pink color rhombohedra of Rhodochrosite measuring up to about 3 mm forming "rosettes", sitting atop Sphalerite and Pyrite matrix . Great quality for the locality, with good crystallization. Better in person, and worthwhile for any Rhodochrosite collector, or a collector of Peruvian minerals. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
