Item Description

A striking, beautiful, mounded, mammillary, rhodochrosite specimen from the famous N'Chwaning Mines. The intergrown botryoids are a lustrous, very pleasing deep rose-pink. Complete all-around, it is nearly perfect despite its age (from about 1975-1980) with only a TINY bit of edgewear just above the shard of manganite matrix. This is an outstanding example of this rhodochrosite varietal from this noted locale. The color and form are exemplary. Ex American Museum of Natural History Collection. valued $1000-1500
