Item Description
Gorgeous, gemmy, intense cherry-red, rhodochrosite scalenohedrons form a striking thumbnail from the famous Nchwaning Mines of South Africia. The color and gemminess are excellent. One primary crystal termination is pristine and the other is gently cleaved. A broken sidecar crystal on the back is noted. Very highly representative of the species and locale. Classic and beautiful South African rhodo from the 1970s finds. Ex Belsky Collection.
