Item Description

Rhodochrosite from the Sunnyside mine is one of the staples of any good Colorado or Rhodochrosite collection. In my opinion, this mine is only second to the famous Sweet Home in Colorado as far as the quality of the specimens are concerned. This piece has some very attractive, rather sharp, soft pink colored Rhodochrosite rhombohedra, which when backlit, have a strong pink-red color. The Rhodos are rather lustrous which is not commonly rarely seen from the Sunnyside mine. A great specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado as this one stands out among many others I have seen over the years. A choice thumbnail of this classic material with great luster, form and aesthetics. Valued at $600-$700.
