Item Description
An aesthetic thumbnail cluster of densely packed, gorgeous, gemmy, cherry-red rhodochrosite scalenohedrons from the famous Nchwaning II Mine of South Africia. The color and gemminess are excellent and the dusting of manganite is a nice accent. Nearly pristine, with only a few lightly cleaved terminations, mostly on the back. The crystal density is noteworthy. Ex Consie Prince Collection and valued by her at $200 many years ago on her card. The backlit photo really dramatizes the rich red color.
