Rhodochrosite earrings

Classic banded rhodochrosite from Capillitas forms a beautiful and sculptural pair of earrings. The variable banded rose red colors, translucence and luster make for an excellent set from the famous late 1980s finds. The hemipheres are 5 mm thick. We don't know what the backing and posts are constructed of - assume sterling silver, coated. These would certainly make a fine gift!
