A rarely seen specimen from the Lone Tree Mine in Nevada featuring several spherical groups of orange-red colored Rhodochrosite measuring up to 3 mm sitting on black Romancheite on matrix. There are small spots of Barite on the piece as well, which is typical for the locality. Rhodochrosite is not a species that most people think of when it comes to minerals of Nevada, and if you collect Rhodochrosite, you need one of these in your collection, as they are nearly impossible to find on the market today.
