Pretty rosettes of lustrous, pastel-pink, curved compound bladed rhodochrosite crystals cover the sculptural undulating matrix on this rich and excellent combination small cabinet from the historic Trepca complex. The rhodos are beautifully complemented by clusters of zoned quartz points, interesting stepped-growth calcite scalenohedrons and a pocket of brassy pyrite cubes. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X79-3 and illlustrated on Page 131 of his 2013 self-published book, Rhodochrosite - Crystals of Drama and Nuance (available by request). Choice and classic Trepca combination material, that displays well from either side.
